Description

Description:

This brass vintage milk jug and sugar bowl are from the James Deakin & Sons manufacturer from England. According to the hallmark, the set dates back to the years between 1886 and 1893. The hand-hammered milk jug and sugar bowl used to be silver-plated. The hallmark EPNS points that out. EPNS is the abbreviation for electroplated nickel silver. The set is a wonderful accessory for serving milk and sugar cubes for your guests when they come over for coffee and tea. The vintage milk jug and sugar bowl are in good condition. There are no dents or other damages, just a couple of signs of age. The silvering has completely faded.

James Deakin founded the manufacturer in Sheffield in 1866. In 1886 his two sons entered the partnership and the firm became James Deakin & Sons.
