This vintage scoop spoon is from Otto Wiskemann from Switzerland. The gorgeous piece fits perfectly in every vintage collection. It is also a great accessory when you invite your family and friends over for brunch. The serving spoon is one of those amazing pieces that will never fail to impress and that will also make a nice gift for yourself or a vintage lover. It would also be a fine decorative element for your kitchen or your showcase. The vintage scoop spoon is in good condition. There are no dents or other damages, just a couple of signs of age and wear as well as a few tiny scratches. The scratches and the patina add the salad servers tons of character. According to the hallmark, we only know the provenance, not the exact age.
Otto-Léonard Wiskemann set up in business in Brussels in 1872 and specialized in producing silver-plated white metal for the hotel and catering industry. Around 1890 he extended a building to create a new workshop. After his death, his sons Otto and Albin took over the company and expanded it with new production facilities in Zurich and Milan.
