This vintage porcelain trinket box is a hand-painted box from Royal Bavaria, Germany. It was originally a trinket or pill box holder, but you can also keep jewellery and other smaller treasures in it. The round box is a beautiful decorative item. It is not only a great addition to any vintage collection but also a nice gift for a vintage lover. The trinket box has a lid and a golden rim. The gorgeous box is decorated with a Jean-Honore Fragonard miniature illustration in Rococo style. The scene belongs to Fragonard’ Love Story series. He was a French painter, who mostly painted colourful scenes of romance in garden settings. The vintage porcelain trinket box is in great condition. There are no cracks or other damages, just a couple of signs of age. The golden trim and the hand-painted motives have faded in some parts. According to the hallmark, we only know the provenance but not the exact age.
