Small Glass Pitcher

1 in stock

This small glass pitcher is from pressed glass. It has a simple still stylish design, it has a pattern and a golden rim. The pattern was also gold-coloured. The pitcher looks nice as a decoration in every kitchen, and it is perfect for serving milk or cream to your guests. The small glass pitcher is in good condition. There are no cracks or other damages, just a couple of signs of age. The golden pattern faded completely and the golden rim in some parts. The pitcher is probably from Hungary, but the exact provenance and age are unknown.

The beginning of producing pressed glass items dates back to 1850. These glasswares were manufactured in cast-iron moulds and were marketed as an economical alternative to hand-cut crystals. They were also cheaper, so they quickly became popular. Manufacturers had to make many patterns to stand out from each other.
