This silver-plated gravy boat is from the Hacker and Társa manufactory from Hungary. The gravy boat is from alpaca silver. The silver-plated gravy boat is in good condition. There are no dents or other damages, just a couple of signs of age. There is no hallmark on the gravy boat, therefore we do not know the exact date of origin.
Moritz Hacker opened a metal goods factory in Vienna in 1914. This factory was his first one, the Hacker and Társa manufactory was a branch in Budapest. Unfortunately, there is not much information about the two manufactories. Although, the factory in Vienna closed its doors in 1973. Not much is known about the range of metal goods manufactured as well. However, the executed Art Nouveau designs that keep appearing in auctions are of excellent quality. Electrical lighting fixtures such as table lamps and connections made of silver-plated metal with glass, porcelain and majolica were of particular importance.
