This glass sugar bowl fits perfectly in every vintage kitchen and tableware collection. It is from pressed glass, it has a metal frame and a handle. The vintage bowl is a wonderful accessory to serve sugar cubes for your guest when they come over for coffee and tea. The glass sugar bowl is in great condition. There are no cracks or other damages, just a couple of signs of age. There is no hallmark on the handle, therefore we do not know the age and the exact provenance.

The beginning of producing pressed glass items dates back to 1850. These glasswares were manufactured in cast-iron moulds and were marketed as an economical alternative to hand-cut crystals. They were also cheaper, so they quickly became popular. Manufacturers had to make many patterns to stand out from each other.
